Langtang Valley trekking is one of the most visited trekking routes of Nepal. This trail is gifted with sublime mountain views and impressive scenic landscapes. With more than 1000 plants, birds of 150 species and numerous other mammals Langtang Valley trekking is very popular. It indulges regular and novice trekkers alike in a once in a lifetime experience.

Langtang Valley is a beautiful valley to the north of Kathmandu. Langtang is also a national park spread over an area of 1710 sq. km. It also happens to be the first Himalayan national park. The area is lightly inhabited and the trail less trodden. So, the trek is a solitary and peaceful experience amidst the beautiful nature and traditional settlements. The valley is believed to have been discovered when a person was looking for his lost yak. It was aptly named Langtang, as in Tibetan language Lang means yak and tang means follow. With its picturesque landscapes, moderate climate, easy trails and traditional lifestyles, Langtang valley is really one of the gems of the Himalayan country, Nepal.

Langtang Valley trek offers astounding views of mountains above 7000m like Langtang Lirung (7,200m), Ganesh Himal (7,600m) and Langtang-II (7,227m) etc. This trail also offers splendid views of snow-capped Himalayan ranges like Tserko Ri (5033m), Kyanjin RI, Ganchhenpo (6388m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and Laure Binayak pass (4,609m). Beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid monasteries are scattered all along the trail. Snow capped mountains right in front of your eyes really makes the trekking more gorgeous and outstanding.

Langtang Valley trekking includes splendid natural and cultural variances. Rhododendron, bamboo and pine forest. Swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks. Grassy downs and meadows to Daisies. Wild Premolar, majestic waterfalls flowing over mammoth boulders and soothing hot springs. Traditional villages and the eye-catching sceneries with a lake of holy importance to Hindus and Buddhists - Gosaikunda.

Langtang Valley trek also provides a chance to explore the Langtang valley which is aptly called "The Valley of Glaciers”. The typical Sherpa villages and ethnic Tamang villages of this region offer a diverse cultural flavor with various rituals and traditions. Langtang valley lies in the Langtang National Park, the second largest national park of Nepal. This protected area has diverse flora and fauna. Tthe national bird of Nepal- Danphe (Pheasant) can also be spotted in this area.

Day01:Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1380m) and transfer to Hotel.

Welcome to Kathmandu. Once you reach the airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly received by our airport representative who will help you with the transfer to the hotel on a private car or a bus. After Checking into your hotels, you can either rest or stroll around to explore your vibrant surrounding at your convenience.

Day02:Kathmandu sightseeing tour.

The sightseeing trip starts from the hotel after breakfast. We will provide a private vehicle with professional tour guide. We will start the sightseeing tour from the largest Hindu temple Pashupatinath, then visit Bouddhanath and Swoyambhunath (the Monkey temple). At the end of the day, we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and then drive back to the hotel to prepare for the trip with a short briefing about the trek.

Day03:Drive to Syabru Bensi (1450m).

We start early in the morning after breakfast and start our drive up to Syabrubeshi which takes about 7 -8 hours. We drive along the scenic banks of Trishuli River with beautiful views of valleys, meadows, rivers and mountains. After reaching the destination at 1460m, we will check-in to the hotel and spend the night there.

Day04:Syabru Bensi trek to Lama Hotel (2480m).

The trek for the day starts right after breakfast. At first the trail ascends for about 2 hours and then a climb for an hour takes us to a bamboo village where we will enjoy our lunch. After that we walk through levelled trails witnessing a number of bird species in the area as well as beehives hanging on the cliffs. We will have to ascend a steep climb again to finally reach the Lama Hotel where we will stay the night.

Day05:Lama Hotel trek to Langtang (354om).

A pleasant walk through the rhododendron and pine forests for 3 hours takes us to Ghoda Tabela. After having lunch here, we can enjoy the dense forests and herbs in the area. Another 3-4 hours walk through a scenic trail finally takes us to the Langtang valley where we will spend the night.

Day06:Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3900m).

Today is more like a leisure day as we will take a leisurely walk for 2 -3 hours to visit the Kyangjin Gompa at an altitude of 3817m. The final destination of the trek, the Gompa is a serene and beautiful place that allows us to have the scenic views of Mt. Ganchhenpo and Mt. Langtang Lirung. The cheese factory, the monasteries and the traditional local houses are the main attractions of this short trip.

Day07:Day hike up to Tsergo ri(4985m) and back to Kyanjin Gompa.

This day is dedicated to indulging in the natural beauty and serenity of the Gompa area. We can enjoy the splendid mountain views as well as relish in the peaceful environment. We can also take a climb up to the Tsergo Ri at 5150m and also reach the Langtang glacier and the beautiful yak pasture called Langshisha Kharka. This quite tough day. We will follow the same trail back to Kyanjin Gompa and spend the night in the same hotel.

Day08:Trek back to Rimche.

On this day we will have a pleasant trek trekking our steps back to Rimche from Kyanjin Gompa through the scenic trail. Second last day of the Langtang trek. Its is lot easier to walk down rather then going up. You will enjoy the walk back.

Day09:Trek to Syabrubensi.

On this day, we again trek back our steps through the Bamboo and rhododendron forests to finally reach Syabrubeshi. This not a long day of walk it takes only 4-5 hour. Enjoy the night at one of the local lodge at Sybrubesi. Enjoy the last dinner together with guide and porter. As you next day have bus ride back to Kathmandu.

Day10:Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Early in the morning after breakfast, we start our journey back to Kathmandu. We can enjoy the evening traveling around the tourism spots in the capital city or shopping for souvenirs in Thamel.

Day11:Drive toTIA airport for your final flight departure to home.

It is time to bid farewell to this wonderful Himalayan nation. In Kathmandu, you will be transported to the International airport by our representative for the final departure. Nepal Eco Adventure would like to welcome you again to explore many other treasures of the Himalayan Kingdom.
