The main highlights of this trip are the traditional Naadam festival and the Central Mongolia and you will take part in hiking, horse & camel riding and many other activities. The Naadam festival is organized on the 11-12th July annually. Naadam is the biggest joy to all Mongols and during the Naadam festival we enjoy the three manly sports: wrestling, archery and horse racing.

It is impossible to imagine the Mongols without their horses. At Naadam you will see 6 different ages of over 2000 horses will race during three days and the jockeys will be only little children? Also the strongest 512 wrestlers will compete in green field for state titles and female & male archers shoot by traditional methods. Classic Naadam Festival tour allows you to see all of these and it will be a wonderful cultural experience.

Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and city tour
After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, You’ll be taken on a city sightseeing tour including a visit to the Gandan Monastery with its huge gold plated Buddha: a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival. See the monks chanting, spin some prayer wheels and view the intricately embroidered thanks. On to Sukhbaatar Square, this is surrounded by all central departments including the Government house. Day 2. The ceremony of Naadam festival
Today you will watch the inauguration ceremony of Naadam which is opened by the president of Mongolia. The opening ceremony features marches and music from soldiers, monks and athletes and live performance of the national instrument Morin Khuur and a choir concert before the real fun begins! There will be tournament of wrestling and archery in the Central Stadium while horse races take place outside the city center. Stay overnight in the hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 3. Naadam festival & Terelj National Park (on road 60 km, 1.5 hours)
After breakfast, watch second day of Naadam, including wrestling, archery and traditional games. After lunch, drive to Giant Chinggis Khaan statue. The statues in total is 40m high and see as far sighted Chinggis Khaan holds a golden whip in his right hand. The Terelj National Park incorporates parts of Khentii Mountain Range. You'll explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones; some of them look quite similar to turtles and hike. Stay overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)

Day 4. Drive to Nomadic show & Hustai National Park (on road 130 km, 3 hours)
Drive to Mongol Nomadic Show. It demonstrates traditional living way of real Mongolian nomads and breeding and using of five kinds of livestock and movement from one place to another using ox, yak, camel and horse carts which are the carts. Also Mongolian ger is made of by traditional making and all furniture pots and clothing are antiques reflecting the feature and manner of Central Khalks in the beginning of 20th century. Horse ride trial for an hour. Afternoon drive to Hustai National Park, see Takhi, the Asian wild horse. If you have a chance, see wolf, argali sheep and deer. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit Takhi's information center and overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)

Day 5. Karakorum and Erdenezuu Monastery (on road 280 km, 4-5 hours)
After breakfast at the tourist camp drive to Karakorum, the symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Then visit Karakorum museum and see the Great Mongol state period, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient state period halls. Stay overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)

Day 6. Drive to Tsenkher hot spring (on road 110 km, 2.5 hours)
This morning we cross the Khangai Nuruu Mountains through a series of passes until we reach “the paradise of the horse breeders”, an area known for its lush grasses and wide valleys. Once again we will be amazed by the ever changing landscapes and the beauty of the surrounding mountains. Our destination is the to Tsenkher Hot Springs, a region of once active volcanoes which still provide a number of excellent and refreshing hot springs. This afternoon we will be free to enjoy this natural spa, to relax in a hot pool or to hike up to the source of the spring. Water temperatures range up to 82 C. Later we may want to relax with a massage (extra cost). Stay overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)

Day 7. Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune and camel ride (on road 190 km, 4 hours)
Early morning, drive to Elsen tasarkhai unique area of forest and sand dunes. After lunch in tourist camp, there is an opportunity for a camel ride trial through the sand dunes. We will visit a local nomad family where you have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions. Dinner is real authentic Mongolian barbecue, prepared in the traditional style with hot stones. Stay overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)

Day 8. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and city tour options (on road 280 km, 4-5 hours)
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Visit Bogd Khan Palace, which is a series of beautiful traditional buildings, where the last religious King of Mongolia resided. You may choose an optional city tour where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore. Stay overnight in the hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 9. Departure from Mongolia
End the trip. You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport. (B)
