Day 1 - Arrival in captivating Marrakech and spend the night in a traditional riad

You can arrive at anytime to Marrakech airport where you will be picked up. Marrakech is a bustling mercantile city that will also be your last stop at the end of your adventure. Its iconic Jamaa Fna square is still busy with storytellers, snake charmers, artisan markets, and all sorts of shopping stalls.

The first stop after landing in Morocco will be at your traditional riad in the centre of the medina, or the city's old town. A riad is a traditional building in southern Morocco, a large two-story house built around a courtyard. In the evening, once all the group members have arrived, you'll gather at the riad with your guide to discuss your upcoming adventure.

Day 2 - On the road towards the stunning Todra Gorge

The journey begins by crossing the majestic Atlas Mountains, driving through breathtaking unspoilt landscapes and isolated villages.

The Tizi N’Tichka Pass is the highest mountain pass in North Africa, reaching 2,260 metres above sea level, and links the Marrakech Plains to the Sahara Desert. After a lunch stop at Tichka, you’ll continue driving towards the remote Todra gorge.

You’ll arrive at the gorge in the afternoon, with enough time to get familiar with the area before climbing begins. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a dinner at a guesthouse set right by the crags.

Day 3 to 7 - Five-day rock climbing course / guided programme + optional trekking, exploring the spectacular Todra Gorge

In the early morning, we'll begin our rock climbing training/guided session with a group of excellent certified climbing guides, familiar with the area. Julio Soares, an expert climber who has set many of the routes in the gorges, will lead the team.

If you are a confident climber you will be guided on where to climb according to your interest. If you need to learn then no worries! Our climbing instructors will guide you on how to start with this amazing sport!

After lunch, there will be the option to keep climbing/training, take a break, or participate in the many activities available. Among others, a trek to salt mines where the mineral has been extracted for hundreds of years or exploring the area further.

In the evening, we'll return to our guesthouse for a nice local dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 8 - Return to Marrakech with a stop at an ancient ksar (castle)

On this last day of travel, we'll head back to Marrakech early in the morning so that there's enough time to enjoy the city. Wander through its ancient medina, walk on the narrow meandering streets, and visit its famous marketplace square, Jemaa el Fna.

Before getting to the city, we'll make a stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified city that has appeared in many films, and a routine stop for merchants that travelled on the Trans-Saharan trade route.

A comfortable riad in the city's medina will be our lodging for the evening.

Day 9 - End of the Trip in Marrakech

Breakfast will be served at the riad on this final day of the tour. There will be transfers to the airport arranged according to flight schedules.
